History of Rao Inderjit Singh


About Rao Inderjit Singh

Rao Inderjit Singh born on 11 February 1951 in Rewari district of Indian state haryana, is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India . He represents the Mahendragarh constituency of Haryana and is a member of the Indian National Congress political party of India. This Political Social worker and agriculturist advocate is happily married with Smt. Manita Singh and blessed with two children.

Education

He was educated at the Lawrence School of Sanawar. Post to that he completed his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and Bachelor of Law from bona fide University of Delhi. He has a keen interest in Social and activities that helps in betterment of mankind.

Social And Cultural Activities

Since he is deeply touched by the villagers and the hard work they put in. He has a great interest in providing educational facilities in rural areas so as to make them more efficient in terms of farming, cropping and cultivation.His favourite pastime and recreation includes Angling, exploring nature in natural surroundings and others.

Political career

Currently he is Minister of state for defence production of India under Defence Ministry. His full fledged political career started in the year 1977 where he selected MLA for 4 terms and MP for 2 terms. In 1977 he was elected to Haryana Vidhan Sabha as MLA(1977-1982), in 1982 again he was to Elected to Haryana Haryana Vidhan Sabha as MLA, for 2nd term(1982-87) , during this tenure he was Minister of State (Haryana), Independent Charge of Food and civil supplies (1986 -1987) , in the year 1991 again he came up with flying colours in elections and elected for 3rd term(1991-96) and was made Cabinet Minister, Government of Haryana to look after the portfolios of Environment & Forests and Medical & Technical Education.

In the year 1998 he made his way towards Parliament street and elected to 12th Lok Sabha from Mahendergarh Parliamentary Constituency of Haryana for the first time and was made Member, Committee on Science and Technology; Environment and Forests.

Repeating his own history one more time in 2000, he was elected MLA for Government of Haryana for 4th term (2000-04). In 2004 he was elected to 14th Lok Sabha from Mahendergarh Parliamentary Constituency in Haryana for the 2nd time and did his job quite well as a Union Minister of State for External Affairs.

From Febuary 2006 he is taking care of Defence Ministry as a Union Minister of State for Defence Production and in the recent past, the Ministry of Defence has taken many innovative and praiseworthy steps to tie together the potential of India’s private sector in defence industry by providing level playing field.
And still he is making us proud by implementing new result oriented projects.
